This SH4 version 1.5 mission is JSGME compatible. It has a stationary Porpoise sub at periscope depth with several targets approaching at different angles and speed. The mission is to help a player test the Optical Targeting Correction's Omnimeter calculations when using manual targeting.
The Omnimeter calculates both Range and Angle on Bow when using the Telemeter divisions found in the periscope lens to measure a targets height or length at specific ranges. The Optical Targeting Correction mod has correct height and length measurements (as well as corrected optical views) to make this type of manual targeting possible.
To have a "self check" or your readings, it is recommended to have the option of manual targeting turned off in order to use the Position Keeper or Attack Data Tool to give the correct Range or AoB of the target.
